An Unexpected Journey

Jordan Comadena @Funky2414
This morning I was released from my contract by the Houston Astros, I will look to continue my playing career elsewhere.
~~~~~~~~
I have become very attached to some of the Astros minor league players since I started this blog, but none so much as Jordan Comadena (who I will always think of as "Funky" with great affection).  I know the odds were against him, but seeing him cut feels deeply personal.
Jordan is smart and determined, loyal to his friends and passionate about the things he believes in.  Jordan will be fine.  He will find the path that he is meant to find and he will succeed.  There is not a doubt in my mind.
I have left the door open for him to come back and post anytime he wants.  No matter where he goes, I know that my readers will continue to be interested.  I will leave you with the old chapters of his journey as he starts to write the new ones.
Funky -
May all your hits be for extra bases.  May you never allow another stolen base or passed ball.  May you never have another broken bat.  May you always have roommates who don't snore.  May all of your children excel at sports (with at least one lefty in there).  May all of your friends be as true to you as you are to them.  May you look back on this day not as an end, but as the start of something wonderful.  Good luck.  We will miss you.
  1. Well, this isn't what I expected to read... I am sure Jordan will land with a team that appreciates what he brings to the table!
