It's no big surprise that 2B Jose Altuve was the player who drove in one of the Venezuelan League's two runs with an RBI double in the first while scoring their other run in the same inning. He also drew a walk in his second plate appearance but was lifted for a pinch hitter in the fifth inning. The only Astro playing on the Dominican All-Star team was Free Agent RHP Enerio del Rosario who quickly dispatched his two batters via a flyout and a strikeout.

Carolina over Ponce 3-1
2B Kiké Hernandez was hitless in four at-bats with one strikeout for Carolina as was SS Carlos Correa. Jobduan Morales was the DH for Carolina and went 1-for-3 with a double and a sac fly RBI. He struck out once. C Carlos Corporan was 1-for-2 with a walk.
