Winter League Recaps

VENEZUELAN WINTER LEAGUE

Magallanes over Caracas 4-3 in 10 innings
RHP Rhiner Cruz was charged with the Caracas loss as he pitched the 10th inning, walking a batter with two outs and then giving up an RBI triple. Magallanes leads the round robin with a 5-4 record while Caracas trails with a 4-5 record, one game back.

PUERTO RICAN WINTER LEAGUE

Santurce over Carolina 5-1
Kiké Heranandez got another start at third base for Carolina and was hitless for the night as were Rene Garcia and Jobduan Morales who split catching duties. Morales did draw a walk and subsequently scored Carolina's only run on a throwing error. RHP Raul Rivera pitched a perfect ninth for Carolina. Santurce and Carolina are both 3-5 and two games back in the round robin playoffs.
