Caribbean Series, ABL Championship Game 1 Recaps

Results for Thursday, February 5, 2015 (and one from today)

CARIBBEAN SERIES

Dominican Republic 3, Mexico 2

Jonathan Villar, representing the Dominican Republic, is the only player in the Astros organization playing in the Caribbean Series. Omar Lopez, who will be managing Lancaster in the 2015 season, is at the helm for Venezuela and he's got them topping the table as the lone undefeated team. However, the Dominicans and Mexico are right on their tail at 2-1.

The DR dealt Mexico its first loss of the series as they scored their 3 runs in the final 2 innings of the game. Villar hit a double and drew 2 walks.

Tonight, the Dominican Republic will take on the hosts, Puerto Rico, at 6:30 Atlantic. Venezuela will take on Mexico in the early game; that one will get underway at 12:30.
