High Desert 4, Lancaster 3

W- Luis Parra (1-3)
L- Zach Morton (0-3)
S- Juan Grullon (1)

Lancaster home runs: Danry Vásquez (2, 2-run in 4th)

The JetHawks were left to lament their missed opportunities in this game, especially early on, as they left the bases loaded in the 1st.... and the 2nd innings. They stranded 13 in the game.

Danry Vásquez gave Lancaster a 2-1 lead with his 2nd homer of the season, a 2-run shot in the 4th. James Ramsay hit an RBI single in the 7th that made it a 1-run game, but the JetHawks were unable to find the breakthrough.

Joe Musgrove was excellent in his 5 innings of work; the only run he surrendered came on a solo homer to Royce Bolinger in the 2nd. He allowed 2 singles and struck out 9; he now has 45 strikeouts against 1 walk across both Class A stops. Unfortunately, the Mavs got to Zach Morton for 3 in the 6th. Morton allowed 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2 over 3 innings. Frederick Tiburcio struck out 1 in a 1-2-3 9th.

In the series finale, Evan Grills takes on Tyler Smith. First pitch is at 6:30 Pacific.

Clinton 7, Quad Cities 6

W- Rohn Pierce (2-2)
L- Jordan Mills (0-1)

QC home runs: None.

The Banditos could not hold a 6-2 lead; this Lumberkings rally resulted in a walk-off loss.

Clinton led 1-0 heading into the 4th, but Quad Cities left the inning with a 3-1 lead. Sean McMullen hit a sac fly and Alex Hernandez smacked a 2-run double. D.J. Fisher finished 2-4 with a 2-run single in the 7th and a stolen base (6). Fine night for Jason Martin, who went 4-4 with an RBI single in the 8th and scored 2 runs. Nick Tanielu went 2-3 with 2 runs scored.

Akeem Bostick allowed 2 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits (solo homer), walked 1, and struck out 5 in 7 innings. Ryan Thompson was knocked around in the 8th as he allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 1. Jordan Mills got 2 outs in the 9th... but he allowed the winning run to score on a bases-loaded walk. Mills allowed a single and struck out 1.
